Does taking the MAT help if I apply to imperial’s computing ?

Background information: I took the A-level A2 exams in year 12 and didn’t do well(my teacher did talk about that in extenuating circumstances section of the UCAS reference. ) ( i was sick)

Does taking the MAT help? I’m retaking A LEVELS math , further math and physics , as I got an A only for each of these subjects.

I see that they don’t require but not sure if it’s helpful in my case.
