What to pick for A levels

Hi, can anyone please help me decide which subjects to take for a levels. I will definitely choose maths but no sure about others. I am not sure what to become when I grow up but I am interesting in accounting, law and medical field but not sure if I will like it or which one to become so can someone please suggest me the subjects that can lead to many different courses or job opportunities if I am not sure what to become that will be useful for me.
I want to go to sixth form and subjects that are available in sixth form are:
- Biology
- physics
- maths
- chemistry
- English literature
- film studies
- geography
- politics
- history
- philosophy and ethics

- art and design
- business studies
- child care and education
- health and social care
- creative digital media

maths, biology & law sound like your best options
You haven't said what you are good at or what you enjoy - that will surely make a difference?

Its okay not to know what career you might want to do at A level (its probably healthy because you cant really know what the work is really like). It's okay not to know with Uni subject choices too - my rule of thumb, with myself and my children, has been about flexibility over specialisation because that leaves more doors open. You can always do a Masters to specialise (that's what I did)

Things like Geography and History give you a good grounding is essay subjects and leave lots of Uni subject choices open

Things likes Sciences and Maths also give you good skills, again leaving lots of Uni options

If you do aspire to Economics / Accounting then Maths is a must, and so are(really) good grades, which takes me back to my first point

Its very early to do so, but maybe get along to some Uni Open days, ideally one where they have a subject fair of some kind so that you can speak to lots of academics/students about their subjects - we found Exeter was like that, we got a really good understanding of so many subjects

If you one of your career possibilities is medicine, then maths, chemistry and biology (definitely chemistry, biology almost definitely). You can still get into law degrees with those - as well as aiming for the highest grades, you'll need to get as much relevant experience as possible for medicine and for law (such as volunteering in a care home, visiting law courts, speaking to those doing the job, reading articles in the press etc).
