Hi, I have a doubt about msc specialist physiotherapy practice course. Do you provide placements or internship experience for the students. What else the course provides than theoretical learning

Hi @Vprk ,

This course does not provide placements. We do however have an MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration course) which provides placement experience. You can find all the information regarding this course here - https://www.shu.ac.uk/courses/physiotherapy/msc-physiotherapy-preregistration/full-time/2024. While this is subject to change, you should have four different placements on this course in order to vary your experiences.

While the msc specialist physiotherapy practice course does not offer placements it does have a balance of clinical and academic skills. On this course you’ll focus on different elements of clinical practice. We’ll encourage you to apply your learning to the setting you work in or would like to specialise in. Your assessments are designed to replicate challenges you may face within the workplace and you’ll learn from enthusiastic tutors who are experienced physiotherapists.

You’ll learn through

practical sessions

lectures

seminars

tutorials

presentations

practical assessments

vivas

written assessments

You would also be able to access our careers and employability service which can help you find a job or volunteer work in the area you want to get experience in. You can see more information on this here - https://www.shu.ac.uk/careers

If you wish to discuss either of these courses in further detail, you can contact our allied health department, on 0114 225 2373 or through [email protected].

I hope this helps! Let me know if there is anything else you need to know.
