PGCE Level 6 or 7?
Hi, I'm on a PGCE course. I love the teaching aspects of the course and being in front of the classroom. But, the uni work is very cognitive science and research based. I have absolutely no interest in any of that and it kills my soul. All the teachers I've talked to say it means nothing as an actual teacher and that it's just hoops to jump through.
I've been struggling with my uni workload and some personal issues outside the course. The uni have offered me to go onto a level 6 qualification instead of level 7 but I'm worried. Will it effect my job prospects, say if I ever want to work in a private school or something? Also if I ever want to teach abroad, somewhere like America, would it effect it then?
