Steps to becoming a fire fighter

My dream job is to become a firefighter, and I'm just about to leave secondary school to go to college, but idk what to do when I leave college to achieve this goal. I was wondering if anyone knows someone or is someone who has become a firefighter or just knows how to get there.

You don’t specify if you mean a civilian firefighter or in the armed forces. If the latter, it took me 5 secs to Google https://recruitment.raf.mod.uk/roles/roles-finder/air-operations-support/firefighter which gives you all the info you need at this stage for the RAF (if that’s what you’re interested in.

Ok understood, but asking the question in the career’s section for the Armed Forces would tend to make anyone think that’s the area you were interested in.

But check this link out for general guidance about the route into the role, qualifications etc. As the page says, each FRS will have their own requirements so you would need to check on your chosen service, together with news of current vacancies when you’re ready to apply.
