Do you think it’s a smart idea to do a foundation course even though I want to do illustration at Edinburgh

I have a foundation and am still waiting to hear from Edinburgh. Be aware that if you don't also have the right academic qualifications (it's ABB at A-level this year) they will reject you right away - this has happened to a couple of friends. So don't waste a choice if you don't meet this.
