working at boarding school

im in my last year at sixth form and im thinking that next year for 6months i wanna be a gap year student at a boarding school in england. where can i find info on this???????? help! cheers!

Oooo we used to have foreign students come help out in my old school, which was a boarding school. They helped matron look after them really, taking them out, helping with the whole school during the day, going on trips and stuff. Supervising prep... etc

Im at bording school at the mo, and as U6th, we're getting innundated with offers from other bording schools to be a gappie there. They're usually prep schools, but ive never seen the posts advertised anywhere other than by word of mouth. Letters tend to come through our head of year, and he announces it in assembly. Dean Close was the last one, its a prep school, not sure where. You might have to pick a few schools and contact them directly to see whether they are recruiting anyone. Not trying to put you off, but at my old prep school they tended to give preference to old pupils who wanted to come back (if there were any that year)
