By the time you reach year 13, your A2 predictions have to be AAA and you should ideally already have a B in the subject you've dropped for AS. No exceptions, if you can't meet the minimum requirements you'll almost certainly get a rejection. Medical schools tend not to look at AS levels as they're generally not disclosed if the student has not cashed in their grades, or if it is the policy of the school not to do so -- but this is wholly down to the medical school. Some schools like Cambridge request your module marks for each AS.
