The answer is d. The reason in the mark scheme is that “The resultant force doesn’t have to be in the direction of gravel, hence all the statements could be correct”. But resultant force has always been implied to go in the direction of travel from the textbook, because we would put arrows with directions for the resultant force in free body diagrams. Plus, force is a vector quantity with direction. I don’t understand the reasoning for D
