Simple Harmonic Motion of a spring pendulum by any chance? is it one of these functions you have to differentiate?

x = x0 * sin(omega * t) (starting at equilibrium)
x = x0 * cos(omega * t) (starting at displacement)

If so, you have to consider the trigonometric rule and chain rule for differentiation.
