You will love the North East, and going to Newcastle, you will be going to the best city in the region, there's so much stuff

Bit of a gambler? There's 3 casinos to choose from (Aspers at the Gate, Genting, and Grosvenor) and Gala casino at Sunderland, whilst that huge casino will be arriving at Middlesborough

At The Gate, there's also the cinema, restaraunts, and nightclubs

Just outside the gate there's more clubs

There's Powerhouse (another club)

There's not only clubs, but there is plenty of clubs...it's a lively city and you really will enjoy it :smile:

Yes it is...also I literally drool when i hear a man speak in a geordie accent. Plus, Newcastle is the place where all the attractive Brits come from..i.e Cheryl Cole, Andy Carroll... :drool:

- The friendly Geordies. When I first arrived I went to M+S to get a pillow one of the shop assistants was like 'aw pet are you a student? Did you just move here?'. She was really nice and chatted to me for a while and I felt really welcome in the city. The taxi drivers are normally lovely too.

I went to M&S to buy a pillow and got asked the exact same two questions. That's just weird.

As for myself, getting grabbed by the crotch by a random guy in Digital asking 'You wanna go to the toilets mate?' has got to be the winner.

I've just finished my first year at Northumbria University and let me tell you the city of Newcastle really does live up to all the hype!

My favourite memories has to be when the bouncers on the door of Asper Casino thought my friend was too drunk, naturally he denied the claim so they said 'okay do a backflip if you're not drunk'...he trieds, failed and landed on his face! Decent first attempt i'd say! The bouncers creased up laughing and tried to get the CCTV of him!

My favourite non drunken memory: going to the cullercoats beach when the weather was scorching! Beauty!!

Same, I cannot wait for everything to start, although I just know that a couple of months in I will be wishing for home! Where are you coming from and what are you going to study?

Ipswich Suffolk! Not too far away! Medicine. I'm driving up the first time so that I can take all my stuff, but taking the train after that.

I'm not taking my car either, just driving up with my parents. Yeah I have an unconditional so got my accommodation early, I'm staying in Marris House. Where do you hope to stay?
