I think that Cambridge is probably the best, as it is in most other subjects.

I'd like to see you try to get into LSE or UMIST to study medicine. You've missed at least two of the top medical schools: Nottingham and Newcastle. There are various league tables on this subject. I suggest you look at the QAA (quality assurance agency) assessment.

Bath? UMIST?? LSE???

These universities have never offered Medicine as a course. Ever.

Unbelievable. UMIST doesn't offer Medicine and can still get 5 votes for being the best med school, when it never existed.

Best Uni for medicine? Depends wahat you want really. Places like Oxford and Cambridge are ideal if you want to do a really science-y degree, with a view to doing research after your degree, or something similar. On the other hand, somewhere like Peninsula med. school is focused much more on developing the skills to make a good doctor.

but those are government league tables, based on what they feel to be indicative of a good med uni.

eg. they might favour pbl because it uses less staffing, as u hav to make ur own notes etc therefore costs the gov less

its more what works for you, u can only judge for urself. like pbl would be pants for me cos i hav to be made to work but loads of peeps love it
