Hi
Basically they are saying they either weight it equally so if you got 40 one year and 45 the next you would get 42.5. or they weight so that 3rd year counts double. So if you got 45 in 3rd year and 40 in 2nd year, then 45 counts double, so to work it out you would add 90 + 40 and divide by 3, to get 43.33. So as you get the better one you would end up with 43.33. Hope that helps

If your 3rd year is better than 2nd year then they weight your 3rd year double. If 2nd year is better than 3rd year then it is just a straight average of the two.

If they are weighting it the way to work it out is [ (3rd year mark x 2) + (2nd year mark) ] all divided by 3.

you get a better mark overall. So if you got 40 in 2nd year and 60 in 3rd year, you'd end up with 53.3. So basically if you mess up 2nd year you can redeem yourself with 3rd year.

yeah i mean overall mark. If you post it here ill show you how to calculate. You can change the number slightly if you wish so everyone doesnt know your results.

usually you wont be given an overall mark but its quite easy to work out. For example if you do 6 modules. 4 singles and 1 double, you count the double twice, for example if you scored 60,61,62,63 in teh four singles and 65 in the double. To work out the overall mark you do

(60 + 61 + 62 + 63 + (2 x 65) ) / 6.

Do basically a double module counts twice as much as a single and triple counts for 3 times as much.
