Student Finance 3rd year HELP!!

I was due to graduate in July 2012 however after going through the mitigating circumstances process at my university the 2nd semester of my final year has been pushed back to January (All my deadlines have now been passed back from what was May 2012 to now Jan2013).

Obviously I dont have much of my 3rd year loan left and certainly not enough to survive until January. I have contemplated finding part time work but that is a last resort as at the back of mind I dont think its feasible for me to juggle my studies with work. (Something which my counsellor agrees with).

What I want to know is if I am eligible to apply for another semesters finance?

Any help appreciated.

Hello bwc,

If the end date was pushed back based on what the university has decided, you should send in a letter from the university, on headed paper and signed stating original course end date and also the new course end date. What SFE will be able to do is apply what they call a "Long Course Loan". They'll work out from the between the two dates how much you should be entitle to.
