NC (National certificate) performing arts course help??

I have applied for this performing arts course and have recieved a letter detailing me of my interview date and task. I will paste the email at the bottom of the post.

I just want to know.

-Does 'singing as a group' require any solos? Will they be expecting us to sing a solo at all? Bear in mind, I think this is a beginners course. It's just, I am shy and have not sung for a long time. I am basically taking this course to improve confidence. I was in glee club in my first school before I moved and was told i had a nice singing voice, although I always sung in a group.

- I am planning to do my project on Lea Michele. Thoughts?
