Do we get enough help with student finance?

Hi!
Basically, I'm writing an article for kettlemag.co.uk about whether or not students feel as though they get enough money, or help from student finance. I would like to know peoples opinions on student finance whether it is negative or positive.

I also have a main question - do you like the fact that the amount you get from student finance all depends on your household income? If not, what would you prefer it to be based on? Maybe how well you do in your A Levels or BTECs and such? Or any other way? Maybe everyone should get the same?

My student finance doesn't cover my accommodation costs because both my parents (who live in the same house) are in both well earning jobs but the money goes towards bills and such. Therefore I get the least amount of student finance and have to put my own money towards accommodation and everything else. Also my accommodation is actually one of the cheapest available but it still doesn't cover it. Is there any one else in these kind of situations?
