Internet in Halls

Just a quick question, what connection speed is the internet in Halls? Specifically Leodis. Also anyone that can't be arsed to carry a TV to uni, Leeds are doing that new thing where you can watch digital TV on your computer/laptop, though you still are meant to buy a license free...ha

I'm not sure how they do it. if they allocate a certain amount of bandwidth to each room/connection. But you will get the capacity of a 2mb line approximately in your room, judging by halls i've had a look around

Sadly, this is the sort of techie question that I don't have a clue about. Here's the link to the description of the service http://www.leeds.ac.uk/iss/issconnect/index.html
but it doesn't seem to have anything about connection speed (oh, and ignore the description of the residences which doesn't seem to have been updated).
However, it's well fast - much quicker than my home broadband connection.
I'll see if I can get an answer from the IT people (although that won't be until Wednesday at the earliest)
