Need help reducing my personal statement

I am applying to medicine and need help reducing my personal statement. I am currently on 6000 characters.

Thanks in advance
Focus on your motivation for doing medicine. Did you enjoy your work experience ? What did you enjoy about it. Don't talk so much about your A levels. Cut some stuff about specialisms within medicine
Address any redundancy in your writing (there will be some) first, and then see where you stand.

I will do, however at first I mentioned thnigs that I have observed whilst on work exp
but then my head of year said its to vague to mention that eg doctors communicated well with patients
she wanted me to describe in more detail the communication and the effect of it on the patient etc

- Have you talked about your A Levels? Cut that bit out

- Have you written more than about 3/4 lines on your extra curricular activities? Reduce it

- Have you repeated yourself anywhere? Choose one bit to take out

Does that help? Remember that you are more likely to reach the line count before the character count, so you may need to cut more than you think
