Classics Application

Hi, I'm going to be applying to Merton College to read Classics in 2016. This summer I've managed to negotiate a week in Rome and so I was just wondering what would be worth doing whilst I am there to boost my personal statement and make me stand out. Thanks :smile:

Sounds like a great experience! I would try and relate it to some reading you have done that links, or a particular area of Classics that you are interested in that is part of the course.

There's nothing precisely that you need to do. Just enjoy the experience and try and work it into your personal statement in a sensible way. Most people won't be able to go to Rome so it's not fair to give you credit just because you have the ability to, what will matter is that you link it back to your studies, reading - anything really!
