How do you become a nurse?
Like is there other ways around it e.g studying Bio Medical Science, or something else apart from Nursing because there seems to be no set path.

You have to do a nursing degree to get registration in the uk.

There's a very 'set path'. You can only become a registered nurse after a 3 year nursing degree.

The only way to register as a nurse in the UK now is to do a degree or post grad course in nursing. It may have been different when your mother qualified, but that's what the NMC want at the moment.
