1. to . being the best, because giraffes.

maybe they use numbers so you can get a 'mean' grade or something.

so if you got 4 9s, 5 8s and a 7, your mean grade would be 8.3

so you can compare more easily??

idk
reminds me a little of the US grade point average, which would kind of suck if we ended up following a similar system
3. A*-U purely because it sounds better and the numbers system just confuses people, it doesn't have the same ring to it.
4. A* = Average
A = Acceptable
C = Cretin
E = Execrable
F = Fallacious
G = Ghastly
U = Unacceptable

It... it just doesn't work anymore with 1 to 9.
5. A*- U because it's easier to understand. Plus it's recognised by most people in the country.
6. %Why couldn't the world be in percentages I say%

1-9? OR A*-U? And why?

Thank youu!
I prefer A*-U, however (if I'm not mistaken) in primary school they're graded in numbers. Even just before starting GCSE's in secondary school it is numbers.

So it makes sense continuing the numbers until Uni where we use % (also numbers) until you finish a Module and then say 'I got a first' or 2:1, 2:2 etc.
8. [QUOTE=anonymousecheese;64125063]Is the number system being used to allow employers and universities to further distinguish between students?
E.g. A*-A vs. 9, 8.9, 8.8, 8.7, 8.6 etc.
I personally like the letter system.
9. Numbers are better. Some people think A isn't all that high but saying I got like 6 8s rather than 6 AS, shows more easily which side of the spectrum you are on.

6 characters or longer with both numbers and letters is safer
