Will failing my first year affect my admission to another uni.

Right so i did my first year which was computer science, i knew after first few months this course was not for me. However i stuck it out for multiple reasons, i wanted to change course after thr year, ive now applied to another uni for a different course through clearing and i far exceed the entry requirements. However they asked for my current transcript to see if i completed the first year. I did really really bad will that affect my chances of getting admission. New course i want to do is marketing. It requires C in english and maths gcse i have a B in both, and it asks for DMM in Btec i have a D*D*D in IT and a C in a level math.

It shouldnt because they technically should be basing it on your a-levels. If you just reiterate to them that you really didnt enjoy the course and that's why you didnt do so well then they shouldnt discount that.
