Has anybody else applied to Derby for the MSc? Just got my online test email, getting scary now!

I applied and received the test a week later, it's been a week and not heard anything yet. Did you receive an interview?

Subscribing. I qualified 4.5 years ago so can answer questions about the 'real world' of work rather than the application or interview process (now over 8 years ago...). I work in CT and MRI as well as plain film so if you have any questions about those areas specifically then fire away.

What have you found the most surprising about the differences between studying radiography and being a radiographer

Hey thanks, I got offered an interview or selection day as they call it. It's not until July 4th though which is a bit frustrating being so far away. What was the set up like? Apparently I have to critique a journal article as part of my interview.

I know but I don't think theres that many applicants for it so they only have two days over the year i guess... it was a group session where we had to order some survival tools in order of importance, then a multiple mini interview set up thing with different people with about 5 mins each, then we had 10 minutes to give our critique of one of the papers followed by some questions!
Good luck I'm sure you will be fine, they were all very nice and it was quite relaxed!

Probably how much of the course you don't use in the job. You soon see how much rubbish they've packed in to justify it being a three year degree.

I'm still deciding on accommodation, I didn't have the time to sit down and look at them but now that I have I don't know what to go for! Where did you choose?

I had a choice of 3 (because I'm doing radiography) so ive put The Tannery down. Just read lots of reviews and then chose. Oxley was just a bit too far out from what I was reading. But that would have been 2nd choice
