hiya guys! I have a cousin who wants to know which is easier - A level or an IB?

1: If you genuinely love learning, are ready to put in the work, want to keep your options open, like a board range of subjects and want an international outlook, do IB.

2: If you genuinely love specific subjects, are interested in deep-diving into certain areas, know what you want to do at further education/in future, and want to focus on working hard and achieving in specific areas, do A-Levels.

If you fit into the second criteria and do IB you will find it more difficult as you will do subjects you aren't interested in/don't need for what you want to do in future. IB is hard work, but if you fit into the first criteria, you will really enjoy it. Any course is going to be challenging, but the IB is harder than A-levels (3-2 extra subjects, +3 qualifications, +internal assessments in every subject) though if you like the sound of it, I say go for it. A-Levels are a great option though if you fit into the second criteria.
