What happens if you get lower than your required grades at A level and you get rejected from your university...but you want to have the papers remarked because you're sure you got the grades you needed..?
Is there a courtesy period for A level results from universities?
Yep you can go for emergency remarking - I think technically your offer asks that you achieve grades XXX by August 30th rather than August 14th or whichever date it is the results come out on this year. Sometimes though it's not possible - a friend of my sister's lost his place at uni that year because Edexcel lost his maths result and didn't give him the A-level (it later turned out to be an A, but term had already started and it was too late for him).
You need to tell the uni the situation. Ask them to hold a place for you until you get the results of your remark. Then, apply for a priority remark. You officially need to meet your offer by August 31st, although if they've agreed to hold a place you may have longer. Also, consider getting back a photocopy and offer to send this to the uni - then if the remark does take longer, at least they can see what you are capable of doing.
