retail jobs at uni

i want to apply for a retail job when i start uni in september. I dont have any experience or anything, which sucks!
any suggestions about where to apply? im going to cardiff btw :smile:

debenhams? the su shop? river island? most shops seem happy to employ students with no experiece, i had no probs gettin a job with debenhams, and my friends got retail jobs easy

do shops mind you leaving them during times when you go home for 3 weeks i.e xmas and easter, and obviously cant work for them?

depends, most dont mind adn expect it really... and for things like christmas, they're generally fine cos like they hire loads of temps to cover things like that so getting replaced for a few weeks isnt too much trouble

Try get a job on campus / at your uni. I work at our Uni shop (we have two on campus) and it's the best job I have had! Flexible with your timetable and you opt in to working in the vacation!
