I don't want to/can't go into school on results day, does anyone know if I can get them online or over the phone? Or will I have to get them in the post? Nobody's told me anything about how to collect my results, not even the normal way, in person.
Additional Further Maths is pretty much at the same level as Further Maths. Basically, with Maths, you get so much module choice (between 7 core/pure, 5 mechanics, 4 statistics and 2 decision modules), "Additional Further Maths" is basically "All The Mechanics, Statistics And Decision Modules That Are Left Over".
You thought history was hard? I thought it was a doddle, to be honest. We'll have to wait and see in year 12!
Sorry, OT a bit, but yknow musical instruments, well someone once said to me that Grade 8 in an instrument is equivalent to A-level standard? Obviously not 'Music A-Level', but it's regarded by universities as a high achievement. Err is this actually true, or is it seen as just another EC you do ?

It's not that baad ...

For AS you should be around grade 5 standard ( did that lyk 3 years ago ) Then for A2 you should be around grade 6 Standard ( Skipped that !) :yep:

I've never actually done a grading, but I'm roughly grade 5 standard, so that doesn't sound too bad actually.

Grade 6 and above is actually worth UCAS points :yep:
Jace Falco,

You've got a bleedin' heart liberal socialist commie scum at your service! lol

No, seriously though, I am a liberal!

It's easy...

Just go up to the results counter á la Myleene Klass in the M&S Bureau de Change and say "C'mown bring it, bitch!":yep:

Then if you do badly, tell all your friends you got A*'s ad run to the toilets to cry.

I'm sure you'll do fine tho, good luck:smile:

I dunno about online, I never got any sort of username or password, but i'm sure you can ring up your school. Or send someone else in with ID to collect them for you?
Has anyone here seen the film Elephant?

I played this, which is quite easy, for my solo GCSE performance, made a couple of large errors, got parts of the tempo completely wrong, and apparently "easily" got full marks.
No thank you! lol

I'm sure I'll trooper on, though *knock on wood*!
:yep: is it me or do they only count it for your first instument and theory now ..

so you couldn't put your grade 8 piano on if you'de all ready put grade 8 trumpet on ???????????
You really should. It's basically a recreation of the Colombine massacre. It's a slow film in parts, but it's really, really good! It's a film that I think all of us on here could relate to!
*Shudders* Music Theory...
Probably one of the things I dislike the most in the entire world. Did grade 5 a few years ago but only to be able to get on to the higher grades in my instruments! LOL I learnt nothing, remembered most of it parrot fashion for the exam, and have since got almost no recollection of it.
http://www.ucas.com/students/ucas_tariff/tarifftables/ is what you need to look at, near the bottom. The points for music exams range from 75 for a distinction in grade 8 practical (that's slightly less than a C at A-level!) to 5 for a pass in grade 6 theory.

Is there anyone here who did loads of revision for their exams but they're really pessimistic about the grades they might achieve. I feel like that lol.

I keep going between that and then thinking I've done well, hence wanting my results some of the time and really not wanting them at another time. Right now I really don't want to get them.

I mean I don't know where to go (knowing my school they have a 'system') or what time, as I've heard that different schools release results at different times. And I know I'll do fine, I'm not going in for all this worrying anxiety other people seem to have going on.

I don't think I'll be able to go in, cos my dad is probably working, my mum's away and the school is forty minutes away. I also don't really want to go, cos I've, left the school, and I don't really want to go back. It's a bit of a personal thing :ninja:
