pgce primary interview-maths test

Does anybody know what type of subjects/topics to expect or revise for a maths test for a primary pgce interview? I don't know what to expect!

Hi cocokiwi,

First of all, well done for getting an interview. Until recently I was a primary school teacher of 18 years and a maths specialist. I imagine your maths test will consist of the type of questions a Y6 would expect to face in their SATs. If you look at last year's papers they might give you some idea of what to expect https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/key-stage-2-tests-2022-mathematics-test-materials .

There’s nothing on the email that outlines what the interview entails, any help will be highly appreciated :smile:

Hello,

I have just had my own pgce (also primary) interview, and the math test involved ten fairly easy questions, however, the catch was with them wanting me to explain how I got my answers, and how I would explain how to work those questions out to the children.

Omg I WANT TO APPLY THERE. any tips about the maths exam. Super scared about the maths exam
