Can I get a job in the UK without GBC?
Hi everyone!
I’m very confused about what degree to go for. I’ve gotten a few offers for the MSc Clinical Psychology- which is non BPS accredited and a few for the MSc Psychology Conversion- which is BPS accredited. My degree seems to not cover 50% of psychology content which is why i was rejected from some universities for the clinical psychology degree but I have received offers from other unis for the same course so I don’t really understand what basis or criteria they evaluate applicants upon.
I wanted to know if there is any scope of getting jobs in this field (psychology) without GBC. I know I won’t be able to work with the NHS since having GBC is an essential requirement candidates need to have but is there any scope for getting good paying jobs in the private sector without it? Should I simply go for the conversion course right now or pursue a more specialised degree right now and then go for the conversion course after saving money while working in the UK?
