In what respect? This question is pretty silly.
You study optometry to get a job inspecting people's eyes. You study nursing to take care of sick people. You need specific degrees for the respective profession, and they both have their place in healthcare.
If you don't know which profession to get into, you research the Net for specific information about them e.g.

https://nationalcareers.service.gov.uk/job-profiles/optometrist
If you want more specific information about the careers, you speak to people who are already in the field (you get a lot of these people out there, so it's very difficult not to bump into them).
