Maths - GCSE

What topic is widely considered the most difficult topic in the GCSE maths syllabus please?

It honestly depends on what exam board you do. If you do Edexcel, you can expect some of these topics to be the hardest as they are considered Grade 8/9 level:

- Quadratic Simultaneous Equations
- Transforming Graphs y=f(x)
- Proof
- Completing the square
- The Nth Term of a Quadratic Sequence
- Quadratic Inequalities
- Velocity Time Graphs
- Proof of the Circle Theorems
- Perpendicular Lines and the equation of a tangent
- Vectors Proof Equations

^These come up in A-Level Maths which is why they are considered the "hardest"

For AQA:

Simultaneous equations
Completing the square
Proofs (These will always suck lmao)
Functions (idk if its objectively hard but they always messed me up)
Circle theorems
Conditional probability
Sine and Cosine Rule
Histograms
Quadratic inequalities.

If you are with AQA for GCSE maths I can strongly recommend the CGP Exam practice workbook. If you are going for a top band grade buy the "grade 7-9 targeted one". It is the best resource for GCSE maths revision in my opinion. (it got me a grade 9)
Thanks for your help, I’ll get to work.
