A levels or Diplomas?

What are the pros and cons of A levels over doing a diploma that will take about the same time to do before going to university?

Can you clarify what sort of diploma you are referring to? The way the question was phrased makes you sould like you're doing an Indian qualification.

The main benefits of doing A-Levels would be leaving your options open. For example someone could do a combination of subjects like Maths, English Literature and Art which would allow them to progress into any of those fields for university or apprenticeship after the 2 years.

BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma is the equivalent of 3 A-Levels so you would only study accounting and finance. You will limit your options and when it comes to universities, some may not accept it without an additional A-Level such as Maths.

Hope this helps

Thanks, but it doesn't clarify the type. I am not specifically asking about the subject.

Is this a postgraduate diploma? HE diploma? Level 5 HND diploma?

It's what? Which type? Please be specific. This is a very vague answer.
