accommodation - moving possessions out of room

Hi, if you are in catered accommodation it says that you have to move out during christmas and easter holidays. Is this because they cannot provide you with meals? Can you leave your possessions in your room? Thanks

Hi, I am not in catered accommodation yet but i think it must be really difficult to move all your possessions in and out for holidays, therefore as a general rule I was wondering if you could keep your possessions in your room. Does anybody on this forum have experience of what they had to do in the Christmas and Easter Holidays? Thanks
