Life after boarding school- how do I move on?

I went to my boarding school for many years despite not living far from home. Its fair to say that I became reliant on the staff and the school, and now that I have left, feel lost without it.
I always used to joke about Stockholme Syndrome when it came to that place, and it makes me wonder if anyone else has felt like this?
We lived in traditional housing and always confided in house staff, so I was very used to that support.
As a result, I left uni and am reapplying near me, and feel that I need some time to recover from the experiences at boarding school. I still have many links to the school, and even when I went back there a month ago it felt so twisted and horrible, and yet I still wanted nothing more than to be back there in my old bedroom with only alevels to worry about.
