What do I wear to a work experience placement in a hospital?

Hello everyone, I’ve got a work experience placement in a radiology department in a hospital next Wednesday. The email says to wear smart clothes and tie long hair back. What would ‘smart clothes’ be in a hospital setting and for a girl? Would it be a blouse with trousers and a cardigan?
You want to make sure you dress smart/respectably but also comfortably if you will be on your feet and moving around a lot. A blouse and black trousers would be fine, and black flat/smart shoes. A smart cardigan is a good idea to take with you, and once you have completed your first day, you will have a better idea of what to wear for the remainder of your work experience!

Good luck with your first day!
Defo agree with the cardigan, they can be cold places to work in!

Its not just how you dress - try to be interested, ask questions. If there's any current students there, try and get some time with them so you can ask them about the course/uni/placement. And whatever you do, don't sit there on your phone watching Tik Tok!
