Mazars or KPMG

Should I do the corporate restructuring apprenticeship at Mazars, where I would get the CFAB, JIEB, and the CPI or audit level 7 apprenticeship at KPMG where I would get AAT and ACA. I am more interested in restructuring dont mind audit though. However, I am more inclined to a great career so I am not sure which to accept.

Hi, I would recommend doing audit at KPMG. Firstly, it’s great to have a big 4 on your CV and some companies have a preference for big 4 candidates it you choose to go into industry later. Secondly, I think that audit will provide you with a better training ground for learning the fundamentals of finance and business, with it being better to specialise in things like restructuring or corporate finance after qualifying. Hope that helps and congratulations on your offers as both seem great no matter what you go for!
In terms of career progression where would the best company be to work and where could my pay be the highest?

The ACA would be more useful to you.

Regional salaries are different but London tends to have the higher salaries. You can get good salaries in the regional offices too.

Oh, that would be a decent salary as Watford would probably be linked to London’s salary bands. Well done.

ah thanks! I did email them to ask for a relocation into the London office, doubt I would get it though since they said in the FAQ they cant, but I said in the email its closer and it would reduce commuting time and expenses.
