Mazars or KPMG

Hi, I would recommend doing audit at KPMG. Firstly, it’s great to have a big 4 on your CV and some companies have a preference for big 4 candidates it you choose to go into industry later. Secondly, I think that audit will provide you with a better training ground for learning the fundamentals of finance and business, with it being better to specialise in things like restructuring or corporate finance after qualifying. In terms of career progression where would the best company be to work and where could my pay be the highest?

Should I do the corporate restructuring apprenticeship at Mazars, where I would get the CFAB, JIEB, and the CPI or audit level 7 apprenticeship at KPMG where I would get AAT and ACA. I am more interested in restructuring dont mind audit though. However, I am more inclined to a great career so I am not sure which to accept.

Regional salaries are different but London tends to have the higher salaries. You can get good salaries in the regional offices too.
