Law Gap Year

hi!!
I'm a year 12 student and want to read law at Uni after my gap year. I was wondering how I should go about getting some law work experience during my gap year? Do i just send my CV out to law firms and ask them if they do gap year placements?? Does anyone know of any gap year schemes like the deloittes scholars scheme?

thanks!!

Why are you taking a gap year?

You don't really need work experience when you are applying to university and it may not even help with the admissions process.

Very few law firms will offer work experience to pre-uni students, they are more likely to offer work experience to uni students. Although the smaller local firms may offer you something.

I've found a link of some gap year schemes. http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/wiki/Gap_Year_Programmes
