hehe, yeah. Luckily.
To be totally honest, I want to work, I'd love too, but I like the freedom I have at the moment. Going out and socialising, summer trips abroad. I have the rest of my life to work. Half your lifes spent in education then work. Kitkat

Aye, we've got no social lives and never go on holiday

omg, no, dislike people (hates too strong, but close) scroungers
ah, thats comforting, but i am worried about the recession as i know of people who got a 1st at uni in top degrees and are having to work at tills in morrisons and tesco, working with people of lower social classes and people without gcse's.

You might want to edit this post, before you get negged to hell...what exactly is wrong with 'working with people of lower social classes'? You make it sound like you think everyone from a working class background is chavvy scum or something  You do know, I presume, that 'lower classes' do go to university as well, right? I'm middle class whereas my husband is working class, and we met at university - a good one, might I add. He's one of the cleverest people I know.

im not assuming anything, i didnt intentionally mean for it to sound like that.
some "working class" people i know, are the most intelligent. i agree
some chavs do live up to their stereotype, but i dont do that, and know some interesting and funny and quirky "chavs"
I work on the chocolate counter in Fortnum & Mason and I have to say it was pretty annoying when 150 anarchists sat down on our floor and decided to graze on biscuits and champagne (not that I was there on Saturday).

Also, an American couple asked me, in all seriousness, if our counter was made of chocolate. I was astounded.
I work as a lifeguard for Leisure Connection (government run). I actually spend more time cleaning poo off the changing room floors and picking up children's nappies because their mothers/fathers couldn't be bothered to put them in the bin and just leave them lying around.

And then people moan for the changing rooms not being "clean enough." Well, it would be nice if the public cooperated just a little bit to make it physically possible for me to get a mop round the floor without spreading faeces and god knows what else everywhere.

Why do people seem to think you're a skivvy just because you get paid to make their day out/meal/whatever enjoyable? It's annoys me.

Chavs might be bad, but the 'upper' classes can be even worse. Just because they have butlers at home doesn't mean they have to treat me like one.

It most definitely did . Somebody also asked me if we put truffles (as in the fungi) in our chocolate truffles. American again, incidentally.

What happened to them? Were they arrested or forced to pay for what they'd taken?

Gosh, I stand around bored for most of the day, and then customers decide they want to buy stuff at closing. This has happened on my last 4 shifts now.

From what I heard the police told them if they left peacefully they wouldn't be arrested.

And then of course arrested every single one of them as they left the store! To be fair to them, they didn't do too much damage - just a bit of cheeky biscuit munching.

Chavs aren't stereotypes of working class people, wtf are you talking about?
They're benefit leechers. Filthy scums.
