Would you accept a lower standard of living for a more "fairer" world?

Not everyone is lucky enough to be born into middle england wht makes u more important than them?

Nothing...that's what I'm saying. We are born and live where we born and live. I'm not special. But would I trade that standard of living in? Probably not, no. I could give up money, but I wouldn't want to live in the third world or anything.

Because you don't, but you could have been.
Yes, I would. As the president, it is my duty to set an example.

I'd accept a lower standard of living for everyone to have better grammar.

I bet you £100 that your grammar is just as bad as those you look down upon.

No. I'd accept less money, but not a lower standard of living involving food and medicine. Why? Because I don't want to be ill and unhappy

And you're a socialist, lol?

Yes, because I believe in improving everyone's standards, not making them worse in the name of equality.

How do you propose to improve the standards of everyone in the world today without reducing some of your Western luxuries?

No, we wouldn't; at least not if you live in most developed nations. If we were to press a magic button and distribute GDP of the world equally; a person would get £6,104 per year; that is lower than 1% lowest earners in UK (£8,430)

Does that include kids though because they shouldn't really need over 6k?

Whatever the free-market decides.

The easiest way to create a fairer and more equal world would be to free up the global market for labour by removing all migration barriers.

That way it would just be a free choice between employers and workers on who to hire. People in poorer countries would be attracted to richer countries because they would earn more which would increase the labour supply in the richer countries and drive down the wages.

Eventually the wage levels between the richer and poorer countries would equalise as migration redistributed workers from poor to rich and you would get a new equilibrium.

This would mean lower wages in rich countries but obviously higher wages for people that were previously living in poorer countries.

So, basically, you would make all major cities as poor as each other, but the previously poorer ones slightly wealthier than before?
