You need a reference to transverse waves for 1 mark.

The second mark comes for saying that the oscillations are restricted to one plane. Putting the 'wave's oscillations' just confuses it, particularly if you don't mention transverse waves, because a longitudinal wave oscillates in one plane, and they can't even be polarised.
