Help is needed to understand how DNA probes are really picked to compare similarity in DNA between two organisms. Like, what DNA probes must be applied to the microarray for e.g to compare human DNA to mice DNA?

And what probes are applied to the microarray for comparing the expression of genes in 2 different organisms?
