Here are my thoughts:
-Mean bond enthalpy is calculated over a range of compounds
-O=O not mean bond enthalpy because Oxygen doesn't exist as O=O in any compound, as it can only form a maximum of 2 bonds

mean bond enthalpy is for say an O-H bond in a range of compounds.

oxygen is an element so the bond enthalpy will not vary - its NOT A COMPOUND!!
