When is the usual best time to apply through UCAS? I haven't started yet, I'm thinking of applying 1st of september

There is no "best time". As long as you apply before the deadline (January 15th) your chances of getting an offer are the same. Also, you won't be able to apply on September 1st, UCAS applications for 2013 entry open in "Mid September"

I realise this is a huge long shot due to my (relatively) poor GCSEs and lack of A-level maths. But ah well, I'd only regret it if I didn't try!

MEEEEEE, bms counts right?

I wish, but my poor GCSEs, and having messed up so badly on two of my AS-Levels this year, and only predicted AAAA (already achieved one A) for A2, it'd just be a waste of an application :frown:

Maths with economics. Not even sure if I'm applying; it was a serious consideration for a while but I've fairly decided against it!
If you've already done the maths full a level in year 12 and are gonna do full further maths in year 13 with A2 of another subject, how does the offer universities give you work? Do they give you an offer of AA instead of AAA

Didn't want to apply to more than one London uni. Imperial have the better maths course, and their financial support is quite generous. LSE don't have any of that

currently im taking a gap year! and going to reapply for LSE as well as resitting my Economics.
Last year, I was unsuccessful with Management, didnt get the offer so after considered carefully i choose Math &Economics or economic history for applying this year. But will taking a gap year worsen my application?
