How many relationships have you been in?

Both my 'exes' were very attractive and had great personalities, just didn't work out for the long term, which is what I want. I'm not afraid of commitment, but I'm afraid of committing to the wrong person..

I also don't actively talk to girls a lot because I'm not desperate for sex/sexually motivated (not that I think there is anything wrong with pursuing a girl you want to romp with), so in terms of females my life is pretty lonely.

Why do I hear this sort of thing so often?

Aw I can echo that from a female's perspective. I'm waiting to meet someone university even though people say that's the worst place to do so. But I don't want to actively find someone, I'll be their friend first and see how things develop. I've always ended up falling for my best friends which have been disastrous.
