There is a thread from a few days ago from an Optometrist , which gives some very valuable insight into what it might be like. Try and use search to find it becayse it would be enough to put me off choosing it as a career. Obviously he could just be frustrated, but it is worth a read.

Just treat it objectively. There may be people who love it and are perfectly happy, but it does give insight and food for thought if you are considering it as a career. Theres also one about pharmacy.

I'm not doing them. Did them years ago in unrelated subjects, i'd be doing an Access to HE course for a year to study optom 2017 but im still undecided.
Opinions are mixed, i'm currently talking to a few optoms on a few websites, ill post my findings at a later date.
