wow lucky you. on a year out from UCL due to medical reasons. considering reapplying there. What do you think?

pros durham is smaller with cleaner air

cons UCL > Durham

EDIT: Can't believe this statement of TRUTH got negged so much. We don't see Durham in the top 20 on any world league tables now do we? Which uni is in some far away village where nothing much happens? Which uni is at the centre of one of the greatest cities in the world? Which uni is a fake Oxbridge/Hogwarts where rich rahs go to? Which uni do all the smart Asian international students go to?

Say no more.

I originally applied last year, so I already had the offer for Chads, they just kept the same college when making my offer after the remark

Durham asks for 38 points in the IB for English- does anyone know whether I stand any kind of chance if my predicted grades JUST meet the entry requirements? :frown: I've applied to it as a dream choice, but still...

Hey saachi, I doubt anyone will be able to give you a definite answer. My take on it is that just meeting the entry requirements 'qualifies' your application for consideration, after which your application in its entirety will be taken into consideration. From what I've read in the forums, they seem to place a substantial weight in your personal statement. That been said, if you meet the requirements you do have a chance. Yea, I agree, Durham is a gorgeous place! All the best for your application!
