Today was the last day of my week in a small animal sanctuary, I absolutely loved it. Spent most of my time in the kennels and learnt so much. Emailed two vets so far, and going to ring the other next week along with the exotic animal place. That'll probably be it for the summer than. :-)
I just had an interview for a volunteer job at my local RSPCA branch and I'm now officially going to be a kennel maid / dog walker / cat socialiser / small animal helper / anything else they can throw at me! Which shelter were you at?
Good luck with the rest of your work experience, I applied to an exotic pet shop but they haven't got back to me yet

On my first day at a dairy farm the farmer asked me to drive a tractor to muck out the barn and I managed to crash the bloody thing into a hole and the farmer had to get two other tractors to lift it out. Then he told me to drive his quad bike and I somehow managed to crash it into a hedge. So not the best of starts. It will certainly be fun when I start learning to drive.

There are some examples in the TSR bank, some better than others but it gives you an idea at least of what you need to do

Quite a lot of us are 2013 entrants, stalking the 2014 page! Ooh thank you, have looked at some of those examples but not sure if I've seen all of them yet
