As a black man Curvy Women are very very attractive.. There's a saying Bones are for the dog, meat is for the man.... Perfectly illustrated regarding skinny women and curvy women...

You disgust me. What makes you think it's OK to talk about skinny women in that manner? Honestly, grow up.

So many people on here need to realise that you can appreciate one body type - i.e. appreciate curvy women - without the need to slate another. And one more thing, being skinny doesn't mean being skeletal. Idiots

TSR attracts vermin, usually the insecure type keyboard warriors. In real life most of them are just losers that nobody takes notice of but here they can air their views.

It drives me insane, I understand people appreciating curvy women - I do as well in fact - but there's no need to insult and slag off the not-so curvy women. What purpose does that serve? As I said, you can show your appreciation for one type, without the need to criticize another. I'm fed up of constantly being bombarded with "skinny is ugly", "curvy women are real women", "men don't like skinny" and the disgusting phrase as demonstrated by that idiot "skinny women are for the dogs, curvy women are for the men" It seems people only care about offending larger girls and do their very best to praise curvy ones, yet when it comes to skinny, they don't give a **** What the **** am I supposed to do? I'm skinny. I don't have a defined waist. That's just how I'm built. Am I supposed to just suck it up and take it? Because I'm skinny, I'm worthless am I? I'm not a real woman am I?

If people have an eating disorder does that therefore make them unattractive?

I have a friend who used to have anorexia and she's still very thin, she has loads of guys who like her
Not saying that having an ed makes someone attractive but she's veryy thin

Really? Don't get me wrong, Cobie Smulders is crazy amounts of hot, but I'd say her body type was more 'tube' than hourglass or curvy, as demonstrated here:

I'd say a good example of a curvy female would be Kat Dennings seen below. Wider hips, significant bosom. Those are curves.

Well she has nice boobs. I'd say Kat Dennings is a little larger though, looking at her arms, and it looks like she's wearing a corset to make her waist look a lot smaller. Don't be fooled by these women they have very good stlylists! Kat Dennings is the type of curvy person who you see on TV but will hardly ever see in real life walking down the street.

I'm not sure why, but I've noticed in general very broad guys tend to prefer skinny girls, and very skinny guys tend to prefer curvy women. The only reason I can possibly think of for this is that opposites attract. This won't be true for everyone though.

I've noticed that! I wonder if it's the same for women.

I'm skinny and I used to like skinny guys but now I'm liking the broader men, nothing nicer than some nice broad shoulders. :coma: I still would like a skinny guy though, in reality most people don't even tend to have types. I've heard so many people say they prefer blondes, big muscles, big boobs when they've ended up falling for someone completely different.

Skinny is a harsh word. I think people get images of skeletal bodies when you say that, I believe most people prefer slim woman with slight curves, no matter what some people like to think. Look at men's magazines, porn stars and the celebrities that men put at the top of their "top 100" lists; all of those woman are slim.

True, I'd rep if I could!

I know right... :emo: And they talk as if they are a bunch Tom Hardys when in real life they'd probably be happy to get with anything.

Amen. 'Real women have curves' is so infuriating, is how 'real' we are somehow defined by our body fat distribution? How ridiculous. Can you imagine the outcry if we said 'real women have sharp elbows and a visible pelvis'?

Agreed. It's the same as 'Real men don't cheat', really. (Not that I condone cheating, mind )

So glad I'm not the only one that gets so infuriated by it! It seems that a lot of people - including women - think that, the larger the difference (in terms of measurement) between the hips and waist, then the more "womanly" they are. Erm, no  Personally speaking, a lot of my body insecurities stem from the fact that those sorts of comments and articles are thrusted in my face daily, and I am made to feel repulsive because I don't have huge boobs and arse  I am skinny, but I do not resemble a pre-pubescent boy, and I am not skeletal - yet people jump to the conclusion that all skinny women do resemble boys and skeletons - and are therefore completely disgusting and of course, not "real" We are constantly told that men don't like us because we aren't similar to Christina Hendricks. We don't have particularly defined waists so we feel disgusting to "hold" and whatnot.

As for the bit in bold, holy crap that would be an outrage! It's bad enough on here, when one guy says he likes skinny women, he is usually criticized for causing eating disorders and for being "brainwashed by the media"

Precisely. And many people fail to differentiate between being skinny and having an eating disorder. NOT THE SAME THING!

I don't condone cheating either, but you're right, it does not define 'real' either

AMEN TO THIS!

Not everyone that is skinny, is anorexic or bulimic. So to anyone who tries to post pictures of women with eating disorders to 'represent' just how "ugly" skinny women are, don't bother. Skinny women and women with eating disorders aren't the same.

I hate the double standard with perceptions of skinny women. I swear every time a skinny woman is said to be beautiful, everyone jumps up and starts with the eating disorder accusations, but with a larger woman anybody mentioning over eating disorders would be slaughtered.

Seriously, why can't some people accept that a "real woman" is ANY woman?:sigh:

I agree with you to an extent but seriously what magazine must you be reading? Because the media is still obsessed with dieting and looking 'in shape'. I think you're being a bit over the top to be honest.

Overcompensation because women are constantly told that being skinny is sexy. And I'm probably not even talking what I assume to be other girl skinny which is just as sexy as curves. I am talking catwalk model, anorexic skinny. Catwalk models are walking clothes racks and size 0 is disgusting. As a result of the constant bombardment with those types of women, although I notice it's becoming less common, magazines and people feel the need to overcompensate and even call skinny unsexy or else be seen as morally detestable for advocating eating disorders. Life is full of those silly little misnomers.

Completely agree!!

It seems that it's all the rage now to "bash" slim women while appreciating curvy women. Appreciation for all healthy sized women please!

Haha. Skinnny women are for dogs. Thank you. My God you'd never think we are in the year 2012. Nevermind, all's relative, i'd probably never be attracted to someone who expresses such a sentiment. Which is ironic, given that i'm apparently fit to sleep with dogs.
