Prep school. Private school. Crappy grammar school. I hated the last because it was a grammar school, but wasn't as good as you would assume a grammar school to be. So people often make unreasonable assumptions about how "good" my education was.

Normal primary school, grant maintained grammar school and sixth form.

My high school is now a foundation school, whatever the hell that is.

If I had kids, I would fork out for a brilliant primary education, and upon that foundation, let the little brats fend for themselves in a state secondary school. They would hopefully have acquired scholarly standards and values that would take them through well enough, however defficient their high school might be.
