If you are the first year to do the new specification, does that lower the grade boun

For Edexcel Literature GCSE this year, we were the first set of students to be answering questions from the new specification.

I've been told that due to there being a new specification the grade boundaries will drop. This is because the assessment objectives have changed for each question, hence some schools/students are unaware of this and do not answer the new criteria.

Is this apparent?

It depends on how people do in the actual exams :dontknow:

It may well be the case that people don't do well, but they might do better than expected.
